Ive just been making myself a BLT, the bacon was ready, the bread had the home made rose marie sauce, tomatoes sliced and in place, a squiz of black pepper, feeling happy I went to get the Iceberg kettuce from the fridge .....to discover its a Savoy cabbage. FFS

Years ago ma Dad used to visit a butcher and buy half a pig, which the butcher duly chopped up and put into separate bags. Ma Dad would then sling the lot into our chest freezer.

One Sunday we thought that we were gonna have a lovely roast pork dinner with all the trimmings, the label had fallen off the bag and we had a joint of gammon instead

I can see your logic but I kind.if feel Uve reached the 3 star michelin level with where I am with my BLT. Its like its reached the peak of of BLT evolution.
