We have the world nettle eating championship held near me every year. It’s very popular. I’ve not participated myself but know others who have, think it was more of an excuse to down loads of ale to wash down each mouthful for them, but people do take it seriously and the quantities consumed by the winners are eyewatering.

If you carefully grab from the bottom of the stalk, you can sometimes get away with it!

They certainly add some zing to play, and yes especially when restrained!

Not long really, though chillis is the gift that keeps on giving (sarcasm)

. Once again restrained and the only thing that would stop that burning but that’s not details I’m going to share
