Yes. This.

I like to see the sea on holiday but not necessarily sit on a beach.

Always a beach, preferably quiet and secluded, and with a gorgeous companion. And a cooler bag of refreshing drinks

Swimming pool with those built in sunloungers in the water and a swim up pool bar.

View of the beach also would be great!

And not forgetting some nice men in swimming shorts wandering around

Newry Down

Beach, primarily during the day.

Lots of potential for long walks, beachcombing, chatting to other walkers, dog owners, surfers, etc.

Pool, by evening and moving into the night.

Different ambience, different intentions, with potential to arrange a single meet, or possibly group activity.

It's not a binary decision; make the best use of each location.

If its a quiet pool fine but generally would rather a secluded part of the coastline, doesn't have to be sandy. Something really grounding sitting on a rocky coastline and just zoning out.

Depends on the circumstances. A beach if it's me and the dogs, it'll be cool perhaps windy, mountains behind us. I'm thinking Pothmadoc or Anglesey and they'll be a pub after the walk, good beer and food.

Otherwise a pool, I'd be on a lounger, sun umbrella, a good book and a little perving x
