No you silly... Not calling myself a "bird".

I got bit birds obsessed last two days and one thought poked another and I wondered..

Which birds have a rough life? I always feel sorry for the pigeons. Universally hated.

If I was a bird I'd chose to be a pigeon and break down all the stereotypes

What would you be or not want to be? Spread imaginary wings. Unless you are peacock - then don't. Show off! And I don't like all those eyes staring at me

We have finches in the bushes and trees out back

They are small, cute and industrious

I love pigeon’s in a pie, with pea’s and smoked.

If I had to be a bird, it would probably be an owl!

Hefty Hideaway

I adore birds. If I had to be one I’d like to be the Peregrine Falcon that comes to visit to pick off the garden birds as it is both gorgeous and scary.

I also have starlings nesting in the eaves above my bedroom window. The chicks are noisy but so delightful (I’m deaf thank goodness so probably miss a lot of the racket).

Well I definitely know which I wouldn't this being the pesky crow

I attract all kinds of wild birds within my garden and enjoy seeing them seen a generation all lined up on the fence rescued them when they have gotten stuck in bad weather Omg this is showing I'm a softy

So I'd choose between a robin or blue tit

Robin are supposed to be bring luck and I feel lucky

I ate them too. My family was very meat diet oriented.

Are they considered delicacy? No forget it. I don't want to talk about eating birds on this thread

Dont know which bird has it tough. But i do know which bird has it best. The cucoo has it the best. Lays its eggs in other nests and leaves its young to be reared by others. Classic.

When one of my kids was about 1.5- 2 they used to mispronounce duck. It sounded dangerously close to fuck. We avoided canal walk for a while.

To answer your question I think the unluckiest bird would be the supermarket every day value chicken. They get to live in an airless barn where they can barely move and don’t see daylight. After 8 weeks of being over fed they are strung up by their legs on a conveyer belt and proceed to a rotating knives station where their heads are cut off. The final insult is when their meat is injected with water to increase it’s weight and selling price. Ever wondered why value chicken boils in the pan instead of frying?

I think the luckiest birds are hens rescued from battery farms and allowed to live out up to 8 years free range laying eggs on small holdings.

I'd like to be a Robin. When you're gardening they're fearless about sitting near you in the hunt for new worms and I've had many good chats with them. They're also attractive without being flash, and for a small bird they stand up for themselves against larger rivals.

I'd hate to be any bird in a cage, especially those beautiful song birds.

Pigeons are just bullies that come and hoover up everything I put down for the ground feeders and attack at the stuff in the trees. They come in droves and try to frighten off the other birds.

A choice, I think I’d be a sand Martin. They get to live at the beach in communes with all of their mates, their flying and acrobatic skills put the red arrows to shame and they holiday in sub Saharan Africa for 5 months every year. Sounds like the life I was meant to be living

I’d be a blue tit as we have some in our bird box for the 2nd year.

We also have blackbirds & robins living in the bushes in the front garden.

They costs us a small fortune in bird seed, suet & peanut butter!!

It was like Alfred Hitchcock's the birds outside mine yesterday with about 25 crows having a social gathering on a tree.

I thought about how pigeons have a tough time then.

We have a lot of red kites near us and I love them and they have reduced pigeon population vastly in our area.

Personally I'd compare myself to a blue tit, little , friendly and colourful

I saw one where it had no feathers apart from the head due to a medical condition. Proper rocking out though! I love that little naked punk bird!

I have a big colony of jackdaws around my back garden. Noisy buggers when they settle down at night but there are a few who will eat out of my hand. And they love to take the piss out of my cat
