"Expecting people to reply within five minutes soon after 7am on a Sunday morning is maybe expecting a bit too much !! " I wasn’t expecting anyone to reply. Who said anything about that? Oh, is it because I bumped my post to keep it on view? Excellent.

"Quod and Browns always used to be pretty decent. Didn’t used to rake reservations at the weekend, may have changed since lockdown." That place looks brilliant, so I’ve booked that. Thank you for recommending

"Can anyone recommend a really good eatery in Oxford? I’m looking to be there in a couple of weeks and may try and make a booking at an actual restaurant (for the first time in a year!) to all the haters: I know about Google and am capable to search. I’d prefer a recommendation. TIA WILL X " Olis thai

"Research is not pulling up the third one, they did own another a few years back, not sure if they have split the group or changed its name " There was a Jacob plough in north street, Bicester. I think it was a hotel with a bar and restaurant if that's the one he mentions, not sure if it's in the same group ?

Jacobs plough in Bicester was bought by the owners of jacobs inn in wolvercote and they had another one but I can’t find it Their websites are not linked although in the same style and there used to be a bit of information about the other pubs on each website but they have updated the sites and that seems to have gone
