I think it is important we strive to do the right thing even if it is hard at times and the outcome may not be perfection. The confidence I was referring to at the end of the other thread (and this is just true for me, of course, others may see it differently) is about - being comfortable in your own skin, - accepting yourself as you are while - trying to improve yourself and grow as a person, emotionally and cognitively - working on your expectations of others (are they realistic?) - focus on giving at least as much as you take (not always possible but on balance) - trying to find contentment in non- material things The kind of person I am describing oozes genuine confidence and integrity; they have no need to show off, to lie, to manipulate. And that also, as a by-product, makes them sexy. Not aimed at you or anybody - just my reflection on it. | |||
