It's yet another change. Even though we might remember what it was like "before", we cannot be certain what it will be like "after". When I feel like that, dangling in between the emotions, I focus on the present usually and whatever good today brought or is about to bring. Change is then more digestible in small chunks to me. Hope you manage to grab the stirring wheel of your feelings and soothe the anxiety little monster.

I have spoken to a few who feel anxious.

I feel impatient and excited

Same here, can’t wait to get back out doing things that have been denied to us. Hearing a lot of people though talking about anxiety etc

I feel a bit of a strange mix of being desperate to get my life back but the thought of being among a large number of people now makes me nervous. I guess I'll be easing myself back into things.

Not at all. I have worked throughout and not once feared covid. Feel even safer now as had my two vaccines. I am excited, not anxious.

I’ll be meeting when I want to and when I feel comfortable to do so. That may take months or it may not.

I've worked throughout but I have feared it . I know I'm young but I was hospitalised with pneumonia at 21 and it damaged my heart. I can't help but think if I managed to get that unwell from a virus before when young and healthy then who knows how Covid could affect me.

Most definitely, my anxiety is through the roof at the moment,I want to get back on the social scene of meeting and having much needed human contact but my need and what I want don't come close to my worries of potentially being in contact with someone who's got the virus and then me potentially passing it on to my loved ones and friends...

Covid sucks it really does...

I don't feel nervous so much now about covid and I am looking forward to living my life again.

I thought I'd be really keen to get back to meets but actually I'm not. I think that might be more a confidence thing though as it's been so long. I am sure once we are back in that frame of mind and actually have a meet planned I will be fine. Just need to actually plan one first

Kx

Lots of people are feeling anxious and unsure.

It’s a huge transition and it’s ok to be worried about what will happen.

I also think, it’s all so uncertain still, and that means people are feeling a bit insecure and unsafe.

Have they offered you the vaccine yet? (Not asking if you have or will take it- I think that's personal info)

How are you struggling?

You certainly aren't alone.

Change is often scary and especially now the changes will be unknown.

Snap, but then I think how much more of this can I take, luckily I've worked all through the lockdowns so I still saw my work colleagues. Xx

I agree with this assessment.

Just as many people struggled with the change to lockdown last March, many will struggle with the easing of distancing when it happens.

Sudden and drastic changes can cause anxiety and stress in anyone.

Try to think about why you feel anxious about it, what’s bringing that reaction in you and try to remember how you coped before lockdown

All I can say is, if you're feeling anxious about anything. Talk to someone. Someone you trust, or someone professional. Anxiety can be difficult to cope with if it becomes deep rooted or an subconscious reaction.

Take care of yourself
