"R32 with a snail !! I'm dribbling ... had a gti stage 2+ ... and a mk6 transit lol not quite a custom haha " Got to love the golf . I’ve always been vag. What mk was it ? The r32 is a dream to drive . She’s on a 55 plate , and 70k miles . Saw the mileage building so thought she needs to be stored . Value can only go up on these as good ones are getting harder to find . Though it’s nice to have 450 horses and a huge grin in the face .

When you have a car that you never turn the stereo on in, you know it’s magical as you just enjoy listening to the sound of the beautiful engine.

Hang on ........ anyone got a Alfa for sale .

"I used to be a petrol head... Now I'm an electric head " Same here! Had two AMGs which were great fun, but couldn't get the most out of them without shelling out a crazy amount for a track day. Made the switch to a Tesla recently. Different kind of an animal really. Very fast, but more about the smoothness than being sporty.

Wish I had the $$$ to splurge for the Taycan - that thing looks immensely good. I doubt very much it'll be as enticing in three years when my lease is up, so we'll have to see whether the price comes down a bit. The Tesla is great, but it's absolutely not worth the 50 grand price tag.

"I know my cars and appreciate them and have rather expensive taste even though I can’t afford any of my dream cars. Back in the day two of my favourite cars I’ve owned were my Golf R32 then my Nissan 350Z, been 11 years since that went and I still miss the Nissan. If I had the money I’d have a GTR for sure! " I'm thinking of picking up a 350z as a track car! Also I've done a fair few driving experiences and by far the best car to drive was the GTR, but I was chatting to the organisers about it, and a few of them had owned GTRs in the past. They all agreed that they're fairly cheap to pick up, but running costs are utterly insane.

I'd done the whole plug-in hybrid thing & as you say, tax incentives made it a no brainer. In a few years time, there will be more choice & i think that will reflect prices too.

My next car will be electric.

"My first car was a Ford Capri Green with a black roof I wish I still had it My first company car was a classic mini pick up My dream car - jenson interceptor The Capri was special." Mine was the throttle cable snapped frequently plus after the smallest shower of rain it was like a swimming pool But as a teenager every weekend at the scrap yard climbing over precariously balanced cars I would find the part I needed Followed by the walk to the office to pay, and asked is that all ? Trying to not look guilty as you have so many parts stuffed in every pocket and crevice you are clanking and clinking back to the car

"I had in 1998 the Ford Escort Cosworth when i was living in Switzerland and i loved that car so much but many times i ask myself why i didn't picked up the Lancia Integrale Evo II, both were the same price ! I quite like more the Audi TT mk2 RS than the new version , i found it more sexy " Driven a few Intergrale but never did it for me the Escort was a much better car. Both cars are still cool today
