Love my cars .

Have a turbo charged r32 in storage as these are going up in value .

Transit custom which is running a Garrett turbo and custom map (300bhp ) and currently being converted into a camper .

Then the other end of the spectrum I have a vw beetle 1972 .

I’m only a few miles from Santa pod , so looking forward to the vw shows coming back .

Got to love the golf . I’ve always been vag.

What mk was it ?

The r32 is a dream to drive . She’s on a 55 plate , and 70k miles . Saw the mileage building so thought she needs to be stored . Value can only go up on these as good ones are getting harder to find .

Though it’s nice to have 450 horses and a huge grin in the face .

There really is something very special about owning an Alfa. When you have a car that you never turn the stereo on in, you know it’s magical as you just enjoy listening to the sound of the beautiful engine.

I have a strange love for everyday cars from the 60s through to the 90s. The more mundane the better. Arguably what might be referred to as autoshite. I'm also a big fan of bangernomics.

Later this year I'm hopefully going to see a chap I know from the show circuit with probably the biggest collection of Chrysler / Talbot / Simca cars in the country, including the oldest known Chrysler 180

I'm going to be in shite car heaven

Same here! Had two AMGs which were great fun, but couldn't get the most out of them without shelling out a crazy amount for a track day.

Made the switch to a Tesla recently. Different kind of an animal really. Very fast, but more about the smoothness than being sporty.

I know my cars and appreciate them and have rather expensive taste even though I can’t afford any of my dream cars.

Back in the day two of my favourite cars I’ve owned were my Golf R32 then my Nissan 350Z, been 11 years since that went and I still miss the Nissan. If I had the money I’d have a GTR for sure!

Ahh nice, did you get the '21 refresh? Tax incentives at the minute made it too good to turn down. Wish I had the $$$ to splurge for the Taycan - that thing looks immensely good.

I doubt very much it'll be as enticing in three years when my lease is up, so we'll have to see whether the price comes down a bit. The Tesla is great, but it's absolutely not worth the 50 grand price tag.

I'm thinking of picking up a 350z as a track car! Also I've done a fair few driving experiences and by far the best car to drive was the GTR, but I was chatting to the organisers about it, and a few of them had owned GTRs in the past. They all agreed that they're fairly cheap to pick up, but running costs are utterly insane.

Yep, the refresh MIC version. Build quality better than the Fremont. I'd done the whole plug-in hybrid thing & as you say, tax incentives made it a no brainer. In a few years time, there will be more choice & i think that will reflect prices too.

Got a love hate relationship with cars, particularly BMWs.

Got a 530d as a daily driver but just sank 2.5k into it in repairs

An E46 M3 as a toy but the SMG pump has gone on that...£1800 plus VAT just for the part nevermind fitting

A 97 golf VR6 dragon green, used to show the car but its been stored away now for 10 years. It is booked in the body shop though so it'll be returning but I might have to sell it then. Too many speed bumps nowadays and the cars sat on its arse.

A fabia VRS. Old daily driver, great car, super economical, just too small and sounds like a tractor hence the 530d replacement

Just recently sold a mk2 golf Pasadena edition on 88k and a ford sport ka, which believe it or not is the most fun car I've ever Owned.

Mine was the throttle cable snapped frequently plus after the smallest shower of rain it was like a swimming pool

But as a teenager every weekend at the scrap yard climbing over precariously balanced cars I would find the part I needed

Followed by the walk to the office to pay, and asked is that all ?

Trying to not look guilty as you have so many parts stuffed in every pocket and crevice you are clanking and clinking back to the car

Just East of Wakefield

Yes indeed

Not that much of an automotive history though

Owned 7 Land Rovers, from a Series 2, through to a 110CSW (Td5)

Also had a Jaguar XKR for a while (first shape)

That was fairly rapid

I’ve currently got an Octavia Tdi estate (remapped)

Dream list, in no particular order

(some are ‘bread & butter’ cars)

Triumph Dolomite Sprint

Ford Cortina estate (mk1)

Peugeot 504 estate (diesel)

AC Cobra 289 (prettier, & not quite as brutal as the 427)

1970 Dodge Challenger ‘Hemi’

1969 Plymouth Superbird

Rover P5B

Ford Capri 2.8i

Vauxhall VXR8 ‘Bathurst’

Range Rover (70-95, either a nice early 2-door, or a 300Tdi/100”)

The super car would have to be a McLaren F1

Still the ‘Bees Knees’ to me, & the ultimate

Believe it’s still the fastest naturally aspirated road-car

It also looks ‘the biz’

If anyone’s old enough, they may remember the 80s craze for stuffing ‘small-block’ V8s into mark 1 (or 2) Consuls & Zodiacs

That’s still a nice ‘Q-Car’ to me

That’ll do for now

Oh!!

And a black Mack RS700L

Can l add to the ‘Want’ list

Volvo B123 estate (the ‘Amazon’)

I’d still love a TVR Griffith 500

I’ve been lucky enough to drive a couple of them

Plus a Sagaris!

I’m not sure which is the scarier one?

The Sagaris is a mental beast, but the Griff with its shorter wheelbase is twitchier

And a UniMog please!

all loved up

"I guess I'm quite into cars and bikes.

Got an Alfa V6, Saab turbo, Triumph stag, Tiger Cat E1 and BMW and Ducati bikes.

Be nice if they all worked, but that isn't how it goes.

Which alfa v6. The 3.2 sounds like heaven but the 3.0 isn't to shabby. I want another gtv in v6 form.

The 3.0 Busso with nice shiny intake pipes. So smooooth...

"

Alfa v6's are just mmmmm... polished shiny inlets mmm

I have a Merc SL55 AMG V8 Supercharged (the face ripper)

Hubby has a Toyota Landcruiser (love it), a Merc S600 V12 and Merc CL63 S class couple 6.3 litre V8 (the hooligan).

All chosen by him, I don't know why, he has his reasons.

Secret hideaway in the pennines

I will stick with my 1937 Austin 10 Cambridge.

Slow as fuck, but it's a car you have to drive, not stick your arm out of the window and pose

Total! Love my cars and love classics! Also always wanted to be naughty in a garage. It’s the smell!

Cars/bikes/motorsport are my obsession. I love all cars. Everything from super cars to the bang average. Spend my life on Pistonheads when I’m not on fab.

Passed Beyond Reach

I have had, BMWs, Mercedes, Ferrari, Porche, Aston Martin, as well as many others but my favourites were Panda 4 x 4 or Yugo.

The rest as just status symbols, travelled some unbelievable tracks, well that's one description for them.

But in the end I didn't care what people thought about the car I was driving as long as it got me from A to B. A to B could have been a mountain

"Just a thread to see who else is a car fanatic, female or male..

Have to admit I love a woman who's into her cars "

Me.

I have an ex police volvo v70, currently awaiting repairs... runs on LPG when it's working,

and a Landrover Discovery... we got it to tow our boats.

Previously owned a Shogun 7 seater, a Vauxhall LXI, a Vauxhall Belmont, and a Chrysler Avenger.

I had an ex police T5 many years ago... loved it refitted the 7 seats and was a practical, fast family car

I am to be the extent that I like a nice car (F Pace currently) but I’m not into ownership or restoration of cars, classic or otherwise. But then again, I also appreciate a nice bike, Hogs and Triumph’s especially
