If someone calls you ugly or uses that term to describe someone’s appearance then it is them that has ugliness inside them. Ugly should only be used if something is morally repugnant or a personality trait or a mood. I don’t feel it has a place to describe someone’s appearance because who really has the right to make that kind of judgement.
