Do rules make a difference?

I have been wondering do all these people that post a long list of rules find it makes a difference?

Also if you don't want Sydney university or his mates to use your pics maybe it might be a good idea not to put them in public.

By the way Sydney if my vids turn you on have fun!

Rules? Or preferences? Or do you just mean the university thingy?

Ah I see. Not sure really. I think some people could perhaps put things in a more polite way. Some I just think wow ok!

Not sure if it makes a difference but we can find it off-putting if a profile has a long list of 'do's and dont's', and heaven forbid if they put capital letters in, that just makes it appear shouty and ranty and is an instant turn off for us.

Long lists of rules don't necessarily make a difference but they certainly make people appear self deluded with little grip on reality.

This is what i think.

Isn't it better just to ignore the fools. Like or the single Bi guys that keep messaging me. No point putting it in my profile. I look grumpy if i do and I am sure they will still message.

I get what your saying with the Sydney university thing, I don’t have anything public I wouldn’t want to be seen .... but you do have to understand sometimes peeps are inundated with messages .... if you don’t like a profile move on i say xx

Hoop 1: Jump through this and touch your toes

Hoop 2: Dance for us, I said dance, that’s not dancing!

Hoop 3: Beg, I wanna see you beg

Hoop 4: Put the special word in the box

Hoop 5: Ah you get the idea.

I prefer standards than rules.. if you can't follow a simple request then when I say no, is that also going to be ignored.

Agreed. I just put the forum post to start a conversation. Nothing anyone writes ever bothers me even the rant I got in my inbox the other day. I am still not quite sure why they were upset. Maybe they had a bad lockdown day.

It's impossible to tell unless you compare the response with the rules there and without. It could be that people don't write because of the rules, but how would you ever know?

We have pointers about when not to write but that's so we can be clear about why we are not responding. They only have themselves to blame if they ignore what we put in plain view. You can tell in advance if we're not going to reply. Don't complain to us.

I like profile like yours it gives a person something to engage with. The worst are the ones that ask you to do more than say hi and yet have nothing to engage with.

I also guess being a guy you forget the rubbish couples and ladies have to put up with. I had a couples profile a few years ago with a friend. That was a real eye opener. Craiglist closing down did not hell either. Or the nutters came here.

Some say rules... I say morals (in my case at least)

All depends on the perspective

Those Sydney university people must be having wank meets at fab’s expense.

Up on them there hills

In my world, the more rules, the more closed minded.

Saying that, we have a rule, “only meet in clubs”.

More to do with previous experience and family logistics.

To us, modal operators of necessary are not sexy.
