30 is the maximum and not the target speed...

Mind you .. my milk float was flat out..

Oh no OP, you immediately drop a gear and put your foot to the floor. You stand up to those road bullies by showing them your mad 'fast and furious' skills. The effect works better if you drill a little hole in your exhaust to make it louder. I hear you actually get an extra 50hp by doing that and it only does wonders for your street cred!

I check my rear view mirror

Mutter “tosspot” under my breath

Check my side mirror.

Call them a tosspot again.

If they overtake I flick the v by my steering wheel so they can’t see.

Turn the volume on the radio up and listen to the soothing tones of Ken Bruce.

Reading

Had this many years ago. Once cleared obstruction , came to set of traffic lights . Where right hand lane was either right turn or give way to straight on traffic.

Driver in car who I had held up done the finger , plus verbal out of windows. Windows were down as very warm. What he had not seen couple of cars back was a police car that had followed us thru obstruction and heard blowing horn etc. When lights changed I was away faster and he hit bollards on opposite side of lights as nowhere to go. I stopped and police did tell me off , but actually said not my fault and they were going to stop driver anyway due to what had happened at around obstruction.

Slow down so much! Had this this morning. He eventually got past, probably about 90-100mph along the country road for 4 miles. Met him again at the junction, I was on my way before him.

A mate has rigged up a paintball gun facing backwards, he intends to shoot at the impatient driver with a mix of solid and paintball.

I wonder how long they will be impatient after that?
