The right place

It seems that ‘swinging’ has quite a large semantic range.

What definition do you use?

"When sex is your hobby "

Yep! That's how I view it and sum up what we're about as a couple. Sod all the hotwife/stag/vixen/whatever labels

Why do we need to define it?

What swinging is to me, isn't what swinging is to you or lacey red or anyone else. And it's OK because we can still interact.

To me it's ethical non monogamy based around sex. (As opposed to polyamory which is ethical non monogamy based around relationships)

For others it's just sex.

Or it's a way to find a relationship

Or it's what you at the weekend when your hubby thinks you are having tea with your best friend.

It doesn't matter ultimately. It's a means to an end

I like that. A bit like people who play tennis with a range of different doubles partners

Whatever you want it to be.

Two terms I dislike intensely are 'proper swingers' and 'vanilla'

An enjoyable pastime in the park. Assuming the bloody kids aren’t hogging all the swings

Manchester (he/him)

A casual approach to sex, where it’s for pleasure but not associated with deep emotional connections.

It can be between multiple partners or two, depending on the individual and respective dynamics

In a town full of colours

I'm not a swinger but the part of the label I would use will be the group sex part, club orgies are high on my bucket list

This is how I see it too, definitely more about the physical connection not emotional/romantic
