Secret hideaway in the pennines

On the back of the secret couples thread.

There is a huge amount of flirting in the forums, do you use that as a guage that someone is interested in you, or just as playful banter.

Have you followed through with a pm to say the interest is reciprocate

In the past when I flirted, on the forum it was just friendly banter anything more was always done via PM.

It did used to make me laugh when you’d receive messages ‘oh am I stepping on your toes’ or alike because of how they’d read a comment in the forum. Just shows others can read too much into words written and that people can just be friends

Honestly?

I tend to avoid anyone who flirts with me in the forums unless I already know them.

I love the forums but I have no interest in all the personal drama that goes on...and if you get too close to forumites you eventually get dragged into it all...not my circus, not my monkeys.

Having seen and been on the receiving end of the behind the scenes stuff, I don't think I flirt that much at all and tend not to flirt with those others flirt with.

It doesn't feel as nasty and "in the air" now people have either left or not been posting but I wouldn't actually know anymore. I'm sure it'll be chewable once restrictions lift and socials start happening again.

Have never really flirted on the forums, and am too blind to notice I've been flirted with unless it's totally in my face - so anything on the forums has never been anything more than a gauge of initial mutual interest I'm chatting directly before taking it to PM where connections and chemistry have been truly established.
