Was that "damned Boleyn girl":

An innocent woman caught up in the intrigue and machinations of a patriarchal and misogynistic culture.

Or

An evil scheming bastard who used her female wiles and body to climb to the top of the land

Reading

A bit of both. She played the hands that was dealt her.

I always feel so sorry for Catherine of Aragon as she was an amazing queen.

(She/ her) in Sensualityland

I used to think of Anne as an innocent victim of Henry VIII - I think having watched a couple of films and reading up about her, I am not so sure anymore.

It looks like she out-manoeuvred her sister, manipulated many and ultimately paid a price, which was too high for the deeds she had done?.

Hilary Mantel pointed out that anyone who made that speech, before they met the axe, had to be innocent. Given how she would have believed she was about to be judged by God shortly after death, as everyone did at that time.

I have no doubt she was a power monger tho.

Unfortunately, the six were the victims of a man who let his passion rule his head.

She couldn’t have been wholly victim. No woman at that time could have survived as one.

A very clever woman who was at the mercy of a merciless man in the end.
