Do we have many multilingual people here?

Puedo tener una conversación en español pero aprender todos los días.

I also want to start learning Japanese soon.

That's awesome! I felt like I was struggling a lot with Spanish but I'm always surprised at how much I remember when I watch something in Spanish.

own(ish) in French and I'm about to start learning Spanish... just hope travel is allowed again soon so I can use them

Unlike English, Welsh is pronounced as it’s written.

Welsh looks like it’s had a crisis of consonants.

On a sliding scale, good Spanish, adequate French and basic German. Russian would be my dream to learn but more for reading than speaking.

On the lookout for any Italians or speakers for a fantasy

I can get by in French but not fluent.

Soy mexicana, así que el español es mi lengua materna.

I’ve been bilingual in English and Spanish all my life. Started in an international school when I was 4.

My biggest regret at the moment is that while I identify as Welsh, was raised in Cardiff and spoke Welsh as a kid, despite now living in North Wales I havn't had the time to go back to language school and brush it up.

Bore da! Sut wy ti?

I am the same, my Mum was first language Welsh and we always spoke Welsh as Children, I was raised in England and nobody else spoke it at School. Though I didn't really lose it.

I work in Early Years and use it a lot with the little ones. I just think it should be taught alongside other languages, seems crazy that England prefers to teach Spanish over a home language....People find it easy to take the piss out of it because they are less familiar with it.

I have had some pretty ignorant things said to me over the years which is crazy from people who should know better living on the borders

Iawn diolch. Me too, the mother in law was very fond of taking the piss out of the Welsh. Welsh was banned in my Cardiff school, but the pottery teacher (6'4" and broken nose from rugby) spoke it in class and defied anyone to stop him.

The real answer is for Wales to leave the union and become a nation.

Sorry OP if this is a bit off topic!
