How much do you read?

I was on a development webinar the other day and they suggested you should read for at least 1 hour a day and that most successful people read every day. Doesn't have to be anything specific to industry or newspapers etc.

In fact some say that reading fantasy fiction is very good for you as it opens your imagination and creativity.

I have lots of books downloaded but don't set aside enough time for reading. I'm going to try though.

I don't read nearly as much as I used to apart from the forums. I think setting aside a\n hour a day is a good idea

Try to read from a book every evening or before sleep, have done since childhood although online has eaten into that in lockdown.

Secret hideaway in the pennines

I try to read everyday, I have the kindle app, everything from the history and culture of cocktails to sci-fi/fantasy.

I have always been an avid reader, from an early age

I love a good book when I’m on holiday. I have to do a lot of reading for work so not so much in between times.

I buy a lot of self development / personal growth books if I feel I want to learn or understand something. I’ll probably not read the whole book though and just dip in and out. I’d say I read something every couple of weeks.

Usually at least an hour a day. Sometimes two. A mixture of 'literary' fiction and non-fiction (biography/history). Have always got a reasonably sized book pile.

My niece (10) is reading 3 books currently I love that she is a book worm and I think she is reading at quite a high rate for her age.

She started with Harry Potter as she loved the films.

Manchester(ish).

I make time to read, every night before bed, at lunchtime. I could while away many hours as long as I have books.

I read factual stuff, nice big thick tomes. I'm currently on a three-volume history of the 20th Century. I don't get on with fiction.

I love reading though I don't do as much as I once did. I'd say I average an hour a day nowadays.

Good job I'm not born and bred

Although that's a good point. I could read up about the area I now call home (for the last 21 years ). I didn't do all the local history stuff you do when you go to school in an area.
