couple, us we him her.

Watched this again the other day.

Excellent film btw.

Got me thinking could I survive on an island alone.

Well I have the skills to build and construct a shelter.

And could almost definitely fish and learn to hunt.

So failing illness how long could one survive?

Not being a particularly social person I could manage without people.

But it's the family that I would miss.

I think I could manage 4 or 5 year's before completely loosing my mind.

Do you think you have the skills and ability to live alone stranded on a Island and if so how long?

Teesside

If I could have books and music to keep me sane I could get by.

Pretty handy generally.

i'd rather do a good deed, and go and feed myself to the sharks. they might be hungry. and i wouldn't survive on my own. Px

To be fair learning to hunt isnt something you can just do in an afternoon then you are set lol. You will be long dead before learning how to do it if you have never done anything like that before lol

Secret hideaway in the pennines

If I can have quacks notebooks, to keep me occupied on a night, I have the skills the hunt, make shelter, as long as there was fresh water, I could survive for quite some time

I know enough, have some basic skills and read quite a few survival books.

Probably got about ten days of body fat to keep me going.

I can make a fire from raw materials and pretty good at fishing.

I'm a carpenter so good at building stuff and with my hands.

Assuming a supply of fresh water, fauna and flora and guaranteed no illnesses, I think I could live on an island indefinitely and quite happily. There are a few simple rules for survival anywhere that if you know, you would be ok.

Are we allowed a 6 star resort hotel on a tropical island that just happens to be deserted

Yes, the skills I don’t have I’d learn and I’d be there forever

Walking down the only road I've ever known!

I have the skills, I've lived alone for many years so the isolation wouldn't be a problem.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I have no survival skills at all but I am really fat and somehow resilient. I suspect I'd survive because I am problem-solver.

I think people really over estimate their ability to survive.

Most would perish a fairly slow and agonising death

That's probably true. Having to secure food everyday won't be easy. With no access to antibiotics or antiseptic even a small cut could lead to death
