i mite be just having a moment but im getting so pissed off again with people replying to my profile before they have read it... most of todays messages have been deleted or ive got the hump and been rude im sorry but its all to much now...23/30 messages with no pic or under the age limit or just asking daft questions that are answered in my profile.when will people start to read first ...ps again im sorry to rant

it obviously happens to more than just us then.we get pissed at the number of guys below our age limit,when we ask them to read profile again,they get the hump,because it seems we are calling them stupid.well forgive me for stating what we like n dont like,but if some guys cant read or take heed of what we are after then perhaps they really are stupid

I think some only look at pictures and then mail without further though. Just changed our avatar picture and received 16 messages. Put the one with me and a whip in hand and they bugger off lol. Think i will be changing back soon lol

We get them all the time lately, we have kept our profile text to a minimum and stated what exactly we are after but still we get the well thought copied and pasted messages that mention nothing to suggest they have read our profile, guys asking if we fancy meeting now or tonight, and plenty guys assume only Colleen reads and replies to the messages, lol.

such is life eh, these people are sent to try us.

lol profiles are suppose to be an introduction to the owner of the profile, but some are so complex it's a put off before you even start to read.

Because of so many time-wasters, we've inserted a password on our profile, a couple contacted us showing interest, although they quoted the password, I asked and they confirmed they had read and understood our profile, low and behold a couple of days prior to the meet, they contacted us and said "Sorry, we thought you were a M/F Couple, you're not what we're looking for"!!!

Is this really an issue that's worth moaning about and is this something that should be continually posted upon the forums each week?

At the end of the day we all know people aren't perfect and sometimes do things that may annoy us and getting email from people who haven't read a profile properly is going to be an everyday occurrence on sites such as this as we all know. I have had couples send me winks or one liner emails when i state i'm only looking for single women but so what? It does annoy me but i either reply saying no thanks, or ignore them if they sent a wink and just get on with things!

Thing is not everyone has seen all the threads before. You can see the OP hasn't been on the forums too long, so this is often why threads like this get repeated. There are plenty of other good threads to read if you don't want to read this one (not having a dig btw, just saying).

In the same light, we know these threads don't need to be always here, but neither do these threads need responses saying so, the OP is just venting a bit. Well done to her for not just pinpointing single guys though!

Unfortunately for her and everyone else the people who don't read peoples profiles also don't read the forums... kinda makes sense that doesn't it! lol

I have to say that I've probably been guilty of this, and I imagine it's easily done. I know that Wayne's pic was up for a couple of days so you (two!) are an exception, but often there is an avatar of the lady, most of the text is about what the lady likes, and most of the pics are either of the lady or feature her more prominently.

So surely it's slightly understandable that the responses can sometimes be over-specific? I do sometimes catch myself and have to make a conscious effort to add the word 'both' in, despite there being little male material to work with (plus, as a single straight, wouldn't I be spending a greater proportion of my time on the lady anyway), but have had the odd response that is obviously from the man - which serves as a useful reality check.

OH I fully understand it, like you say most couples profiles are lead by everything about the lady, the ladies being the ones used as bait in a sense, so silly for those to complain when it works, also being a straight guy when messaging a couple then obviously I personally have the lady in mind far more than the man.

People look at profiles for so many reasons, not always looking for a meet.

also some couples state no single males so not inundated with messages but can still go on to message those they may be interested in.

Why do people,mainly guys,block you when they don't like what they are told? We are both fully bisexual and our profile is very very clear as what we are looking for and a guy messaged us saying that we could have fun but when we checked his profile it states he is straight! We replied (politely) initially telling him he wasn't what we were looking for,his reply was to say he thought he had made it clear as to his preference,we replied again,a little more blunt or curt but to the point but still with respect.....he replied saying WE are NOT what people are looking for and it was a pity that people like us spoil what is a good website.....then blocked us!!!!! That will be the toys out of the pram then! Why do guys like that do this sort of thing,we just do not understand it? We don't put all our friends and meets on our profile but we have had lots of fun and long may it continue.

why do you assume he was throwing his toys out of the pram?

Have you not considered the possibility that he chanced his arm, got told 'no', so he blocked you so he doesn't inconvenience you by messaging you again accidentally?

Oh dear..how remiss of us to not take his feelings into consideration! We have so misunderstood his good Samaritan intentions by saving us from pain and anguish at receiving unwarranted attention from him. We always thought a polite refusal would suffice....how wrong were we?????????

We obviously read the insistent messages wrong,,,you know the ones... saying that he was for us and what he could to/for and with us...regardless of what we were/are looking for!
