a Primark shoebox in Leicester

... when something is meant to look random?

Wallpaper (not an obvious repeating pattern)

Floor tiles

Wall tiles

Carpet

I've got a mate who can spot a matching floor tile (when it's one of those speckled look ones) in seconds... freaky!

I can see it in wallpaper, thankfully.... I have lovely joins in my wallpaper.

An odd thought I know... but I thought I'd share it.

seeing human faces in some wallpapers is good...although they arent actually faces, just what the mind makes up what its used to recognising...as an arty type of person Ive made up some good drawings from these 'hidden' faces..better than some i 'blindly' imagine

Not with patterns as such but I can sometimes see a paragraph and know that there is an error somewhere, even if it takes me a while to find it

When someone sees a face amongst patterns etc, I think its called matrix recognition.

The brain will try to make a face out of something random as it is what we usually recognise first.

It is one of the most common mistakes when people say they have seen a ghost or something unexplainable but the mind is tricked into seeing a face/human shape.
