They are open now but you can only stay in them on room only basis and for limited reasons.

Some hotels insist on official confirmation, which probably indicates that they take your health and wellbeing very seriously.

Some hotels have started turning a blind eye.

We've been open all way through, we have NHS staff stopping, so we have been sticking to the rules.

Must prove you're traveling for work are you are unable to return home and have proof. Rooms single occupancy only.

If a couple, you must be both traveling for work and prove you're from the same household.

17th May back to normal.

That's like the hotel I work in. We turned loads away and the staff got abuse for doing it.

Hotels who do self check in and self check out certainly don’t check. I have been to a hotel during lockdown (not for a meet or anything like that) and was surprised by the fact I saw NO staff during the two night stay. I literally did not see anyone.

Kettering

I stayed in one a couple of weeks ago and wasn't asked the reason for ny stay but I think if I'd have rocked with 2 women with me a question would have been asked

Cheshire

I’m staying in a well known chain hotel. Yesterday before I checked in I got a phone call from their head office asking why I needed the room. I explained why and I was also asked at reception when booking in. Nobody asked for proof.

No bar, no food just the room and a lot of men hanging around in hi viz jackets.

You have to sign a declaration letter here as well as showing proof. Cant wait to get back to normal.
