From the land of haribos.

I am and I go there few times a week. I like to sit there and relax. I usually have a coffee with a tuna sandwitch, sometimes a donut instead, what do you have? I usually sit there for about 30 min or so. I dont really go to the big coffe shops, but more the private ones which I like to support more

Just over a year ago the wife was getting sick and tired of me working from home permanently, and had ordered me to go sit in a coffee shop all day one day a week... Can't quite remember what happened to that plan now... I'm sure something cropped up!

Personally I’d rather stay at home with a nice cuppa tea. I don’t really enjoy it, unless it’s for a social with good company.

On occasion I enjoy a tea in a coffee shop. Prefer independent. Enjoy the buzz of conversation and people watching.

Is there anything better than people watching? I could sit on a bench on a busy street and watch people all day

Not that often but I do enjoy a nice independent coffee shop with some unusual purpose. One of my local ones sells vinyls. And another one used to host community group meetings and sell second hand books.

I found coffee better than most chains. I hate costa!

I used to like a coffee shop when I wanted to avoid going home or just to get out of work for a bit.

But in general I'm not a fan - in my town they're usually full of breast feeders with millions of brats screaming and the mothers meeting all bellowing over each other about their latest extention

No thanks - I'll take my coffee outside

I like a coffee in a coffee shop or outside when warm enough. Lobe the peoole watching. Prefer an independent shop - we have enough big chains

we have one that sells vinyl too - brilliant idea.

I love people watching but couldn't sit in a coffee shop for hours... I generally get a brew to take away, flick through the vinyl and have a chat with the lad who owns it, and then take the brew for a walk and people watch that way

I like them with company. On my own I'm quite happy to take my hot chocolate to go. If I've got some time, I'll drive somewhere like the beach and sit cosy while watching the sea.

I quite like Costa and don't feel bad about it

I haven't yet just taken myself to a coffee shop and sat there alone with a mocha and a packet of Biscoff. I would feel self conscious without someone to ignore while I stare at my phone posting innane comments on the Fab forum. Instead I would just put the kettle on and whip out the Douwe Egberts and sit in my fortress of solitude while contemplating the colour of the fluff in my navel, trying to work out where these colour fibres came from. If I did that in Cafe Nero people might stare.

When I can find one that serves good coffee, normally yes.

I get a filter option, preferably a V60 or similar, and nurse it.

I don't drink tea/coffee but pre lockdown I enjoyed occasionally working on my laptop in coffee shops. There used to be an independent place that had a chilled vibe and had yummy food! Sadly it shut down the first lockdown.

Yes, I enjoy spending a couple of hours on a Sunday drinking tea, eating and reading a good book, or with a friend or two. For socialising it tends to be more independants. For reading more often than not ine of the 'big three'.

hiding from cock pics.

I don't often go to coffee shops to be honest, but a couple of weeks ago one of my friends from this site happened to be in my area, and we went to sit outside Costa and have a coffee on a bench.

Rather hilariously a large pigeon decided to let go a rather large poo over me.

I won't be forgetting that coffee.

Yes and it's one of the things I have missed over the last year, while on shift work I'd be off when most friends are working so I could go to coffee shop with a book and sit for hours and people watch. Cannot wait to be able to do that again.

If I won the lotto I would open a coffee shop/wine bar

Only in the last couple of years. In my work my breaks vary from day to day and sometimes quite long. Sometimes it's nice to be in the crew room and a bit of banter. But sometimes it's nice to find a nice quiet corner of the coffee shop, big cup of rocket fuel and just feel like you've totally escape work for a bit. To be honest the reason I buy the coffee is more to enjoy a nice quiet corner away from work than it is for the lovely of hot drinks (I'm not a big hot drink drinker).

Absolutely love a decent coffee shop with a decent cake or food selection. I prefer an independent shop to a chain, however if a chain coffee shop is the only option, then I prefer Cafe' Nero as their filter coffee is like rocket fuel
