According to a study of football. Girls are almost twice as likely as boys from sustaining a head injury from heading the ball.

Either make the girls ball lighter than a beach ball or reconsider if girls should play football for their own safety...or heading stopped

At school, boys were ten times more likely to get shin injuries playing mixed hockey.

Is this because our sense of direction is rubbish and we can never dribble our way to the goalposts? We just randomly head it and hope it goes in that net thing?

Has it been a proven link that heading the ball causes brain injury’s?

In fact is very rare to see a female fighter punch d*unk but very commen to see male fighters punch d*unk

The Facility

Taken from the Mirror online:

Teenage girls who play football are almost at double the risk of concussion because they are less likely to be removed from the pitch and treated straight away.

Researchers at Glasgow University compared injury data on 80,000 female and male high-school soccer players in the US.

Sports-related concussion among female footballers was almost double - 1.88 times higher.

Teenage girls were less likely to be removed from play and took on average two days longer to recover from injury and return to play.

Male footballers were most often injured colliding with another player and were 1.5 times more likely to be removed from play on the day of injury.

Yes because this is a huge risk and there's an epidemic of brain damaged female football players? Ffs! What a stupid post.

There's an increase risk to women players. Publish the research, let people know the risks and let women decide if they want play or not.

Maybe that's because men can hit a hell of a lot harder than women? I'm sure there are some women that can punch harder than 99% of men but in general if you average it out men hit harder.

Maybe you should have looked this up. The "hard statistics" are clear... as are other studies of brain injury and impact on women and men. I literally just Googled this in the context of fighting and the top three results were all studies that had almost identical findings to football...2x as much risk and longer to recover.

The reason there is more men is obvious... there are more men in sport. Also fighting and football don't correlate in the way you've tried to compare them. A heavy weight male punching power is greatly different to a women's. A football is a football. The difference in ball speed isn't that much.

Ha ha

There is evidence that neck strength has an impact and so to answer the OP, the solution is clear.... strengthen their neck muscles by more vigorous oral sex.

Then simply women will want to play or not want to play based on the realities of the risk. I doubt it's going stop any women who want to play. I don't think passive aggressive condescending posts weakly disguised as genuine concern are a favour to women, the sport or society in general

Well they can only issue the warnings and those who ignore.. well down to them.. some ignore the dangers to pursue their own political agendas..
