It's a bit of a weird one, so much of the game game mean absolutely nothing. Just spinning wheels until the haunting happens. People like it but I've no idea why, so many far more consistent designs in the ameritrash side of things.

I'd suggest you try some other games before declaring that. Monopoly has a dreadful reputation in the board game world, especially when house rules get involved.

You must either live in a board game cafe or a warehouse. We'd love more, well we have some kickstarters on order, (Sub Terra 1&2 and Tiny Epic Dungeons, but space is now an issue for us and our collection must be a quarter of that size!

If you like games then head to a local board game cafe and start sampling some of these delightful titles. There is a whole array out there once you get past monopoly and scrabble.

I don't play anything I already have TBF, I understand that Machi Koro is mostly Catan without the board. It's obviously a classic, but I don't know why it's still so popular compared to others. the Monopoly thing but inside the hobby I guess.

If anyone is looking for their gaming fix during these uncertain times,to head over to Board Game Arena. You don't need a subscription to play and there are a lot of games on there. Catan isn't one of them as it has it's own online version but a lot of good games are. Playing Russian Railroads there drove me to buy it (one of my favourite games I forgot to mention).

Monopoly is suposed to be short. ish. stop using house rules, read the real ones. Auction off the properties early as per the rules, don't put money on free parking... play, lose fast, then do something else together.
