D & G

I've done a self test and because I have surgery in a few days time have done a nurse administered test too.

The nurse did a much more thorough job, almost picked my brains out whilst up my nose, and yes I gagged when she was at the back of my throat.

Hate them, not the nurses, the test.

My husband and I have ordered the home lateral flow testing kits that are available for all households in England now. I work in supported living so it's really important to me that I'm doing regular tests

Yep, we've been going to Asymptomatic Test Sites for months and recently got the home kits.

This is our "new normal" going forward...

As we begin to go out to non-essential shops, nail bar, pubs at the weekends...

We'll do the home kit tests every Friday, Monday and Wednesday.

They say LFT (Lateral Flow Tests, home kits that give results in 20 mins) are not so accurate unless you have a high viral load. Which is why we need to repeat testing a few times a week.

Since the kids went back to school they have brought kits home for twice weekly testing. And as I'm high risk I decided that was the best option for me too.

I order from the gov website and next day 7 tests arrive in post. Good for peace of mind and very straightforward from start to finish

There's a full covid testing centre been opened in my town with several portable buildings, barriers forming walkways and quite a few staff including a security guard. This appears to be open 7 days a week. I've never seen anyone go in / come out and there's been no publicity from the local council or NHS telling anyone it's there or who can use it? Waste of money springs to mind
