I find extremely attractive and sexy....

Could you fuck someone that had brains over looks?

Asking as I met someone a while ago for a social. Wasn't really my type in the looks department, but I was so fascinated by his knowledge and intelligence that he really did it for me...Turned me on massively...

Any similar experiences.? Could you or have you?

Definitely agree, intelligence can be so alluring, so enticing.. To be in awe of someone's words and thoughts can be very sexual...

Of course. Intelligence and personality can add to (and detract from) attractiveness of a person.

This sounds like me.

I am highly intelligent and I have certification by way of proof. Also being in my 50’s has given me a long time to hone my common sense and conversational technique.

I like intelligence in a woman, always have. To turn your thread around, I would find a very attractive lady that lacked intelligence, someone that I could tolerate for very long.

I don't really have a specific 'type' I go for anyway but I'm definitely attracted to the way the mind works. Physical attraction isn't really a thing for me so if they can get inside my mind they win

I’m very attracted to intelligence, huge turn on for me - providing arrogance isn’t added to the mixture. Looks have never been important to me anyways, intelligence would always top trump

I like intelligence as long as it doesn't turn into arrogance,

Ps on a lighthearted note I find the more intelligent someone is the less common sense they have.

A doctor friend bought a new car and rang me to come and rescue her two times in one day.

A, couldn't work out where the "key" went (it was a push button start)

B, dam car kept breaking down(stop/start)

Still tease her about it now

Well a lack of intelligence is definitely a turn off so....

True story. An ex once said to me once "If trees were made of wood, and if fences were made of wood, then when you put a fence in the garden, why doesn't it turn into a tree?"

Given that "intelligence" is an inherently classist and ableist construct, I can definitely feel attraction to people less "intelligent" than I am.

I hope people more "intelligent" than I am will treat me in the same manner.

Irrelevant to me, i like aspects of intelligence as much as slightly dizzy women, ive experienced sometimes with high intelligence comes lack of commonsense which is a bug bearer of mine.

Lilleth, Frasier's other half in Cheers, had lots of intelligence and was imho, seriously attractive. But, she was lacking in the humour dept. So imho, need a bit of humour as well as intelligence, for me at least.

Surely this is a case of we're all "wired" differently? Intelligence can certainly be part of the mix, and different people identify intelligence differently. There's personality too for me. Just because someone's a Nobel laureate wouldn't float my boat alone.

If the personality not there and there’s not a click as they say only my opinion of course intellectual is good a strong character and knows what she wants I’m a bit of dreamer

Can be equally a turn on and a turn off, especially when someone is trying to show off how smart they are! Does my head in and find it so unattractive.

But nope need to have physical attraction.

Over looks? No, physical attraction is key for me. I like to be able to talk to people about a variety of subjects, so if they're below a certain level of emotional and/or academic intelligence then we're going to struggle, which would put me off. And if they have no sense of humour then it's a definite no...I'm not compatible with "serious" people in any walk of life, they get irritated by me making jokes about everything

Those are all plus points Tea but rarely do they all manifest in one person. Emotional intelligence is an attribute so many cannot get the grips with. It really can be a destroyer

I once met a bloke who looked like the hunchback of notre dame with boils.....

I didn't know if I could go through with it but once he recited the entire works of Shakespeare, explained the offside rule , then cried when he saw a new born deer , I fucked him there and then!

I find, if I'm attracted to someone physically, that a lack of personality, intelligence and sense of humour will likely put me off.

But ultimately, if I don't find them attractive physically, they're more likely to be someone I want as a friend! A great personality wouldn't make me sleep with someone unless I fancied them too.
