My kettle is used for boiling water to make copious amounts of tea.

I tend to wear 'em out quite quickly though, had two Smeg kettles didn't last long so now on Dura-Lite.

If this goes I'm going to dig out the old copper job and go back to the gas stove.

Those who say a watched kettle never boils obviously don't have a glass one with those blue led lights. I watch it all the time as though it was a poor man's lava lamp, and it definitely boils

Yes, I use it to boil water to chuck into a pan for pasta.

Much quicker and efficient than heating the water to boiling on the hob.

Hot drinks mainly coffee, water bottle after training or day after and at times use the kettle to boil water to use to soak my feet as it helps to relax which helps when you suffer from insomnia

Crack an egg into the kettle in the morning, Tea bag in a cup, and a strainer in the poured water, and you've got your morning tea and a poached egg sorted out together!
