80's night

King's Lynn

Inspired by the Ring tone post, which made me realise just how much 80's music I have on my phone. Even though the 80's is not my favourite musical decade.

What 80's song (the cheesier the better) sticks out the most for you? And why?

Mine is Bad by Micheal Jackson, where I'd try and copy his dance moves while wearing a lime green shell suit.

Superman by Black Lace because it's the best song ever.

He sings things and you do them so you don't have to worry about how to dance.

I wish every song were like this

I’d have to say something by the greatest indie band of that era, the sublime Black Lace, I could pick anyone of their groundbreaking seminal classics, but I think ‘Gang bang’ will always bring back special memories

This is another great song where they tell you what to do and you do it.

Very much so, for someone as clueless as me it’s essential listening, especially the line ‘it’s lots of hokey pokey, less hokes and lots of pokes’ which I find very useful when I forget the moves.

King's Lynn

Guns n Roses and Whitesnake both great bands. Some great songs mentioned here, some I'd forget about. Thanks all for sharing
