I'm feeling a bit under the weather, pain levels aren't great and I have a cold/flu thing (not covid, I checked).

So I've decided to order in for dinner so I can be lazy and stay here wrapped in my blanky...

But I can't decide what to order!

Help!!!!

Lu

My go to takeaway when I feel under the weather is Hong-Kong style sweet and sour chicken and egg fried rice.

There's a wagamamas close to where I live, usually order in a chicken katsu if I'm too tired to cook.

Jeez! If you think you resemble a cow, I dread to think what you must make of me!

Thankfully I don't see my fatness as a negative anymore and don't bully myself anymore when it comes to food.

I'd love Turkish food! But no Turkish places around here

Thank You!

Wagamamas would be nice....but 20odd quid on a takeaway for one person is just ridiculous to me...i won't do it

I'd say order from the Gyros place up the road from me as they're the only thing I've had outside of Turkey that was any good but you're too far away.....shame

Maybe one day

I don't enjoy this concept of good and bad food.

Its all good in moderation.

I really want a Chinese, mainly because I've seen a thing where you fill prawn crackers with rice and noodles and I want to try it.

Pay day treat next week I reckon.

I like using the prawn crackers to scoop up the soup like little, crispy, prawn flavoured bowls . I've used them to scoop up my sauce covered rice before too. Super yummy!

The Jewish mothers were right: chicken soup! Cold, flu and everything inbetween

It seems to be a winner, I've tried it when I've had the lurgy and it's easy to do and and digest.

Also the posher the soup and bread, the more of a treat it will be.

Home comforts have a huge placebo effect and sometimes that's what the doctor ordered.

get well soon.

I used to have a great nan that we called nanny chicken soup because she always had a pot on the stove and you had to have some every time you went there
