Closing Arguments

The prosecution and defence are giving their closing arguments in the George Floyd murder trial. I have not followed the case closely but will the jury decide quickly.

I watched the video and that poor man and bystanders pleading. I hope justice is served.

Hmmm. But. Playing devils advocate here. Whatever the jury decide then justice will have been served. Will it not?

I think he will be found guilty but not of second degree murder.

It's very hard to prove intent. All the defence has to do is make one person on the jury believe that drugs or heart condition or carbon monoxide poisoning might have killed Floyd and chauvin misses the murder charge

There was obviously excessive force. Did the officer intend to murder Floyd? How do you prove that?

Whatever it actually was, I have a feeling they are going to convict and set it as an example.

To be honest, I hope he's sent down for life. You don't kneel on someone whilst they tell you they can't breathe and not expect that outcome. It just saddens me

some will never be statisfied by the verdict and will use race as a motivator for violent disorder.
