...I finally got to a pub last night for the first time

in months.

Happy to confirm that I had missed the pub, and also missed my mates. Also happy to confirm

that I 100% had not missed the pub hangover!

Anyone else reckon pub beer gets you more d*unk and more hungover than home beer?

It's a strange phenomenon but yes it does, I agree

Secret hideaway in the pennines

That's because you don't have a load of tins or bottles hanging round to remind you what you have d*unk, just a pocket full of change lol

I've got a couple of mates who are the same... to be fair though the beer garden we were in was brilliantly managed, and police were in every hour or so to check everything was as it should be. was great to feel like some sort of normality for a few hours

That’s really good that you had a good time and it felt like some sort of normality ..... I just don’t want to go rushing into anything .... I’ve worked through the lockdown and don’t want to make any miatakes now xxxxxx

I’m off to the pub today to meet with a load of friends I haven’t seen for over a year! So excited!

Derby

I know some of that feeling OP as I went to a pub on Wednesday for a couple of pints and food outdoors.

It was really well laid out and everyone followed the rules set out too so it felt safe.

I've worked all through lockdown and to have that little slice of close to normality was lovely even if it felt alien to me now.

Glad you enjoyed it

yep I've worked throughout too... turned one of the spare rooms into an office, and if it wasn't for the pooch walks and trips to the supermarket I wouldn't really have been getting out and seeing real people. Coped with it pretty well but the last month or so seems to have been really hard, so some 'normal' socialising last night came at just the right time!

More chemicals than alcohol. Alcohol of 30 years ago isn't the same Alcohol of today. All about the costs and cutting corners is what they do, so more poison in it instead of Alcohol. Lol.
