Because a single woman could put "Hitler was ok, I guess" and would still get more likes than dislikes (I jest, kind of)

Also, it's a snowball effect. Once a post get more likes or more dislikes, people can jump in the bandwagon instead of thinking for themselves

Never used dating apps. But surely you swipe if you like, so that’s the like part done. I’d imagine a dislike button could be negative and not nice for people to see how many dislikes they have
