What's guaranteed to make you smile?

I've found myself in a bit of a funk today, I just want to curl up in a ball.

So in effort to try to cheer myself up, I'm going to watch some videos of kittens and guinea pigs playing. That's surely got to work.

So here's my question (as I might steal your ideas too), what do you do to cheer yourself up when you're feeling down? What's a guaranteed way to make you smile?

Xx

I love being outdoors but sometimes if I am feeling low I can't be bothered to do anything, but rather than give in to those feelings and hibernate I push myself to go out for a small walk and within moments I can feel the mood lifting.

I also comfort eat, which I wouldn't recommend.

Last night I watched Dirty Dancing, it's a guilty pleasure for me. The soundtrack and the dancing lifted my spirits. Yet the night before I wanted to shed a tear and watched A Star is Born.

I have also been playing online Scrabble with total strangers, not chatting to them but just enjoying the mind challenge in a non stressful way.

I hope your mood lifts soon OP, have a cwtch to help.

driving with my bairn in the car, and a motorcyclist went ballistic because someone cut me up, and i obviously braked so as not to crash, he wasn't paying attention and apparently blamed me.

Chased me for miles, trying to hit my wingmirrors of, brake checking me, swerving infront of me, punching mine and my toddler's windows and doors, trying to open them, pulling over unt I get close then speeding straight for us.

Honestly i love driving and I'm a very confident driver, but this has terrified me to the point where having to drive home after the incident, any time I've seen or heard a motorbike I've broken down crying and shaking.

Jesus that's awful, what a f*cking dick! Some guy chased me once down a dead end road and I just sat at the end of it terrified and locked my car up and waited for him to eventually leave. Why are some people such arseholes?

Has your partner got home yet? You sound really shaken, maybe stay off the roads for a day or two and then maybe try to go out with your partner a few times to build your confidence back up?

Out n About

Good ol' family friendly cats fooling around or kids with animals will cheer me up.

I have others but they are a little more niche

"A walk on the beach... and today the dolphins were back! "

Me too for walking on the beach. The sound of the waves and the feel of the sand always makes me happy. Dolphins would top it off nicely.

There are so many things that bring a smile to my face. If I need to force one then cute videos are always good. I challenge anyone not to smile at the YouTube video cover by Milana Life of a song called Dance Monkey. That will make you smile

Swindon

Going for a ride on my mountain bike or motorbike.

Going to the park early in the morning for a workout.

Making one of my favourite meals.

Fixing something in the house that I have been putting off for a while.
