How long have you been an active member of this forum?

Did it seem daunting to you at first, getting involved?.

How about you lurkers......

How about you all day Hi too.

Hello all, by the way, I'm Mick, the Male half of this relationship.

I have been on and off fab for nearly 9 years but only noticed the forum about 3 years ago.

I can remember feeling daunted but the good morning thread run by PP made me feel welcomed and part of this community. Haven't looked back since.

Hello there

I’ve been using the forum for two years and more actively over the last year. Before I’d pop in have a quick look, comment now and again. I’ve used it a lot more since!

I can’t say I found it all that daunting, I felt welcomed and made some lovely friends

I’ve been in them for about two years, including previous accounts.

For the most part I enjoy them, but they can be brutal at times, and if I’m feeling emotionally fragile then I can struggle.

I’ve made some fantastic and amazing friends though, so it was well worth it.

I've been here about a year now I think.

Joined the forum as soon as I could, so I could get to know people and build up confidence (well there also wasn't much else to do when joining during a pandemic).

Had lots of fun doing the forum photos challenges too.

I have enjoyed the forums immensely since my time on Fab. Even when I was banned. It definitely gives me a lift and boosts my confidence when needed. Everyone is very welcoming and some threads are so funny.

If I can find any negatives about it, it would be some threads can become less than inclusive, there is a certain clique, just like in any social group setting I suppose. I just avoid these threads if that's the case.

But generally all in all a positive experience.

Hello Mick!

I can't remember when I first started using the forums (or I'm a bit too embarrassed to say!). It did seem a bit daunting at first, people know each other and make jokes with each other because they are comfortable.

There are some very inclusive light hearted threads that are run and are a nice way of dipping your toe in and becoming familiar/friendly with other posters - the nocturnal thread and the morning thread.

When I first found the forums I don’t think people were ready for my maverick approach, sure I ruffled a few feathers along the way, sure some forumites thought my approach was unconventional, but I was naive, a troubadour, an auteur if you will, but I stand by my those early threads, I think they were definitely work in progress and very much the blueprint for all the Married, snog, avoid threads you see now.

Not been on that long. I lurked for a while, but during lockdown I really enjoyed reading the threads and decided to add my two pence worth every now and again. Everyone has been very friendly, and it’s been a sort of social life over the past year. I’m a very sociable person, and I have missed those everyday chats with family and friends I took for granted. It’s great to chat to both men and women who share similar interests to me, and find out who is on the same wave length.

I don’t post to seek approval or keep in with any particular group. I’m in the background, contributing to threads that interest me.

I’ve seen many profiles come and go. I’m happy to see some familiar names, others I avoid and some I add to our hotlist.

Every once in a while I get fed up and take a break, other times I binge, all depending on how busy ‘real’ life is.

I’ve been on fab for about 7 ish years, on the forums for as long as I could be and posted as soon as I got verified!

It’s changed a hell of a lot in that time, back then it was a balanced mix of couples and singles, lots of different perspectives and opinions and it could be massively informative, as well as a nasty place too!

The strange thing is I think it’s more daunting for the guys especially the cocky one who think they are gods gift to women, that when they first join Fab they treat it like a dating site & they only have to send out a few messages to get laid when ever they feel like it ! Then they hit the harsh reality & realise very quickly when their ego is bruised that they are the majority on here and the women are the minority! That they have to make an effort & treat them with respect and it’s the ladies and the. couples that call the shots ! Which I think is a good thing ! ImI met my best friend on here and together we had an amazing time ! we met some great friends along the way and had some amazing experiences! Just treat people with respect be honest reliable and they will do the same. I agree the forums are a great way to meet people i myself left all the chit chat to Trisha to my friend she never had a problem meeting new people which is easer being female and a she was a gorgeous ladie that helped but she had to sadly go back to the states ! I find the cam chat to fast I carnt keep up with it as I’m slow at typing !but try it all and enjoy !

"I've been on Fab for nearly 2 years. I went straight into the forums having used different hobbyist forums before.

I think it can either welcome you straight in or spit you straight out depending on a person's resilience and approach.

There’s a thread about welcoming you in, or spitting you out... "

Yeaaah. I probably havnt noticed that one for a reason

All over the place! Northwesr, , Southwest

I began participating when I first became active 4 years ago.

Seemed an excellent way to connect with people and improve my odds with meets.

Hi Mick.

I first posted to the forums 5 years ago. I took a few long breaks because I wasn't equipped to deal with it. I took it all to heart and actually tried to make a difference.

I'm back posting maybe 2 weeks. I got bored in real life and figured I would fuck around in here but I got hooked again

I've had lots of lovely encounters with men I've met on the forum. It's kept me company through lockdown, too.

6 years of aimless scrolling....

BunnyLand

I started participating forums since the first lockdown and I must say, I have found amazing friends and prospect/post lockdown playmates

I probably won’t be active as I used to once restrictions are lifted but will wait&see

Joined around about a year ago, took part in the forums a few months later as a way of interacting with other people in the site. Only took part in the light hearted threads to start with and dip my toe in but now you guys can't get rid of me

Hi Mick,

I am a relative newbie to the fora. I have found that most on here are pretty friendly and good humoured.

I can't really remember...I think it was about 2.5-3 years ago that I started venturing into the forums. I'm definitely not as active as I once was. I'm glad I started using them though, I've met some fantastic people through them

My Own Little World

For pretty much the 10 years I've been on here, used to be mainly via my couples profile back then.

"About 18 months or so I guess.

I lurked for a few months first. I have found support, friendliness and acceptance beyond anything I have ever experienced before.

I spent years convinced I was just 'wrong' and was full of self loathing and shame. The confidence the forum has given me through the (mostly) inclusive attitudes I have encountered has been such a breath of fresh air.

Thank you all x"

That's coz you're spesh innit
