Yeah I know, this one comes up all the time but what’s going into your sweet bag?

(*10p the going rate in 1985. Younger patrons may wish to increase this up to 50p in today’s terms!)

Me?

Mojo chews,

Foam strawberries,

Cola bottles,

A couple of fruit salads & blackjacks

Those white chocolate buttons with hundreds & thousands on

And some aniseed balls

.

Can I be one of those posters who doesn't want what the OP is suggesting but instead comes up with their vaguely related preference?

I'd love a bag of cherry bonbons! And a separate one of lemon bonbons so their flavours don't mix.

Luton

Best sweets I’ve ever had were when Sainsbury’s released Classic Cola back in the 90s, and then released a classic cola sweet. They were to die for.

50p only got you a small bag even in my childhood . Its probably like £2 now!

My favourites were bonbons, fizzy peaches, chocolate limes, giant strawberries, milk bottles, those beer bottle sweets and the pink and blue bottles.
