I'm really not seeing the point on the pub side. Why is drinking expensive beer in the cold with friends at a pub better than drinking cheap beer at home in the cold with friends?

East London

When it warms up I'll visit my sister and sit outside her flat with a drink or 2.

Until then, I'm happy sitting on my sofa in the warm, drinking tea.
