My barber doing an appointment system, booked mine a couple of weeks ago for this Wednesday in anticipation of restrictions on haircuts being lifted, he is now fully booked for next 4 weeks.

As for shopping, it won't be this week that's for sure.

Speaking of Primark got to feel for retail staff on a day like today. It’ll probably be worse than working Boxing Day.

Haha. I cut my own hair a few months ago. I litteraly could not have cared any less as I knew I wasn’t going out anywhere, I didn’t need to look presentable for anything. (I thought it wasn’t bad,...my wife laughed )

People have struggled with mental health being locked up and isolated from people.

Suicide has gone through the roof!

They are so desperate just to have something else to do, an escape from the house and the same old walks with no people, that they are so happy just to be around people they dont care if they queue for an hour to get into a shop.

it's so disappointing, obviously people are only following the rules (for better or worse). But I can totally see us either:

a) ending up back in lockdown by next month

b) seeing a rise in cases and deaths, but just having to get on with it (heard immunity)

It was exactly the same when the Gov had the 'Eat out to help out' campaign ...which ironically all it did was help covid cases rise and give multimillion pound companies extra financial support taken from public funds.

Exactly. And there's no evidence the Eat Out Scheme caused a third wave, that was largely down to the new variants and winter conditions.

I wish people would stop calling other people idiots for going outside. No one is breaking the law.

Go out, stay in, do what works for you.

It does amuse me tho when people who have gone out are suprised that there are other people out who have gone out....

I'm going to IKEA tomorrow.

I'm not stupid, iv left the house less than 20 times since October and most of those were for essential reasons.

Iv stuck to every rule and been careful but I'm going to be called stupid for leaving my house to go shopping for something I need.

IKEA is perfect for a social or cheap date 45p hot dogs and plenty of fizzy drink refills.

It is essential if you've hit rock bottom and and money is really tight.

Yeah, the blokes queueing at the hairdressers were probably talking about the OP, saying ‘There’s a bloke over there popping out to get milk, wtf is that all about ?!’

‘I know right, he could literally have done that yesterday and got his haircut today?!’

‘Wonder what milk he’s getting ?!’

‘Who knows, there’s so many different types these days!’

‘Yeah, why is that, I mean milk is milk isn’t it ?!’

‘Well, there’s whole milk, skimmed milk, low fat milk, oat milk, almond milk, goats milk, soy milk, rice milk, evaporated milk, coconut milk. That’s just the ones of the top of my head!’

‘That’s a lotta milk!’

‘Lotta milk!’

‘What hair cut you getting?’

‘Underlay. You ?’

‘Same!’

‘Nice!’

"I think today is a day for the Covidiots

How comes? For wanting to feel a little normality?

Queuing for non essential items is 'normal' ? That's what capitalism and consumerism did for humanity ....... made them believe they need things...

I've still got air and water and i've not been anywhere near a shop .....

I'm the 'normal' one.

Happy new cushion everyone.

Or....just maybe.....

People have struggled with mental health being locked up and isolated from people.

Suicide has gone through the roof!

They are so desperate just to have something else to do, an escape from the house and the same old walks with no people, that they are so happy just to be around people they dont care if they queue for an hour to get into a shop.

So yes, happy new cushion day people, I hope you have a great day out "

This!!

If you want to stay in, stay in. People are now allowed to go out shopping so leave 'em be.

queuing outside a pub at midnight - no social distancing, no masks no regard for anyone else - stupid !

going to ikea for something you need, as long as you obey the law, be sensible wear a mask and stay a distance for everyone else - not stupid (for ikea insert any other shop of choice).

the pub in question seemed to be well organised inside, people outside were not !

No one is stupid for going outside, people are stupid who think this thing is over and can behave in a manner that not only puts the rest of us in danger but may put us all back into lockdown.

Good thing I have work this week, I've waited this long for a haircut, there's no harm in waiting until the weekend for mine

Near Marlborough

I went to the supermarket, had a mooch along the high street enjoying the sun and I sat outside for a coffee. It wasn’t much but it was lovely to be out.

If that makes me an idiot. Don’t give a fuck.
