Why do people feel the need to respond negatively to posts. For example if its a kiss, lick, fuck post, always somebody with an avoid comment! Why do it?Why take time out your day to respond to a post with an answer that wasn't asked for?Are you just a cunt?

Just the c word i think.

Some people are just very negative. I see the same people always making the negative comments or trying to pull others down and think they must just need a hug.

Yep. It's similar to deliberately trying to derail a thread. As long as they get some attention from it they don't particularly care how.

I would say that its more a case of people wanting to join in, but the available answers don’t suit. There is a chance that people take the forum games too seriously and should someone say they want to do something with you, you may take it as an open invitation on their inbox.

After all if someone said “no” to you, instead of taking it in the manner it was meant (a forum game) you appear to have taken it personally and are calling them cunts?!?

There is certainly a double standard on here. Some forum users will defend an OP ‘they're allowed to ask, people should respect others kinks etc’ but another OP will make a thread asking for something and those same forum users will tear the OP to shreds ‘they’re attention seeking, entitled etc’. Its very weird.

Exactly this. Do you expect everyone to reply they would fuck or snog you even if they dont find you their type. Calling people cunts for replying to a game type post saying they dont fancy you is just as bad and seems like a rejection reaction also. We cant be everyones type so just suck it up and move on. All of us get rejected on here and do not take it personal.

At the end of the road, you can't judge whay other people say or do based on who you are.

They might have had a bad day and just need to vent.

They may have been led on my someone and feel humiliated.

They may use the forum to just vent that part of them and they may be completely different on messages and in person.

They may be sick of the current restriction and just, that is how it is.

Or a million other reasons

To one person 'avoid' may mean stop messaging me for the 50th time today.

For other is may mean something else.

I would hope if I missread a comment, or someone was offended my me that they would message me and explain it, next time I would be able to be more sensative to how they may react to my words and could take that into account in the future.

But refering to people as cunt's or something else because you have been offended by a comment is idirectly doing that which you are complaining about.

Perhaps it was a mistake on their part but if you are agreeing that some threads are unfair because they make people feel negative about themselve yet you have a dig at someone which could make that person feel negative about themselve if they read it.

I'm not trying to insult you, not at all and I do appoligise if that is how it read, my wording can be a miss at times but, and I refer to the threat itself, regardless of how people feel about the forum games and if you take part and how someone can be offended by regection, (that is what it amounts to), writing a thread about it and using an abussive term in which people might take it personaly and become negative themselves, is double standards.

Please don't take it as a personal insult to you, that wasn't the actual intention.

I would rather look at someone say avoid to me then look at a frum post in which I think, is that person calling me a cunt for something I mught have said in a forum game.

If I do not engage my brain, which I don't at times, then I would hope someone sent a stayting that, I would learn from it.

Again, I didn't mean to insult you, that was not my intention.

I think it's just a way to get on the thread hoping you'll get a positive comment from the person below you.

It seems that a lot of the avoids are from straight men posting when a guy above them so avoid is kind of fair enough.

If you wait for a woman you can wait ages and 5 men jump on it so you don't end up able to have a comment left for you as you're not last if that makes sense.

I just put 'pint' if it's a guy above me

Well possibly, but if people want to play it, let them play it!

However if ‘avoid’ is an option then it’s a valid response isn’t it? Otherwise why is it there, and if you’re likely to be hurt or scarred by the possibility of an ‘avoid’ then I would suggest that the game probably isn’t for you!

The *real* negative stuff in my humble opinion is the pack hounding of posters (usually newbie males) that might word something awkwardly or the “one-upmanship” type remarks used to undermine or ridicule someone else.

Its just a forum game, if ppl are going to be offended, by what is a legitimate response then not the place for them.....also its very male oriented, just by the nature if the site, your going to get avoid just based on statistics alone, doesny make then c@@ts as described ....also final point if validation is gleaned from a forum game, then the person needs to look at why, its being searched for on such a game

it wasn't the fact that they chose avoid and it wasn't aimed at me. It was just some people go out their way to be negative and nasty when avoid wasn't even an option. Just think a bit of positivity and being a bit nicer to people, especially at the moment,is no bad thing.

STOKE ON TRENT

"Why do people feel the need to respond negatively to posts. For example if its a kiss, lick, fuck post, always somebody with an avoid comment! Why do it?Why take time out your day to respond to a post with an answer that wasn't asked for?Are you just a cunt?"

Maybe the genuinely dont want fun with that person

"Why would you even join in those threads if your going to take an avoid personally. it wasn't the fact that they chose avoid and it wasn't aimed at me. Just think a bit of positivity and being a bit nicer to people, especially at the moment,is no bad thing. "

It's not really nasty to say avoid now is it.

These games have all sorts of answers normally. Avoid being one of them used.

So would it be better to say you would kiss/fuck/suck someone who you wouldn’t? Therefore blowing smoke or false hope up someone’s arse so not to offend them, then they message you off the back of said false hope and instead of saying a simple ‘avoid’ you now feel the need to either delete the message/respond with a ‘sorry your not my type’ or block...

Personally if there’s an avoid option on a thread and I don’t feel a physical attraction to the person I would use it...not because I’m a c**t because I’m honest

I think in the example you mentioned, there are people who just want to take part or post "Avoid" to get a thread going again. It's only a bit of fun but I usually wait until it is someone I fancy before posting.

I do agree though that generally if you don't have anything nice to say in a thread, then to just ignore it. There are loads of other threads to post on and there's something for everyone

"calling people cunts is more negative than an avoid"
The post that urged me to post the thread was more than an avoid and was aggressive and derogatory, I apologise if the c word caused offense.

so why use the avoid as an example.

All I was trying to convey was that some people go out their way to be negative and nasty by responding with an answer that wasn't in the original options. I just used a thread that has been used in the past to make that point.ive had a few messages from people saying they've had responses similar to above and have stopped posting .

This!

And also the hypocrisy of this whole thread ‘it’s nice to be nice’ yet referring to people as ‘cunts, stuck up, entitled, attention seeking’ for not wanting to give false hope to a fab member that’s not their actual type

In my opinion somebody that goes out their way to be derogatory is a bit of a nasty character, ok I shouldn't have said c...t I used Avoid as an example ,but that's not what was said. I've no problem if its a snog nasty avoid and somebody puts avoid. Glad I started this ! Not! It didn't happen to me but saw a thread that was having a go and just thought no need for it. I apologise if I've come over as a c...!

I think that is a bit of a dramatisation for a kiss, fuck, avoid game

It really is as simple as, it is a game. Dont like it? Dont play

I am curious how people getting to these answers?

Purely because I play the game occasionally and see no issue in putting avoid on a game thread.

So i dont know why people are thinking it is hurtful/hateful or bullying?

Genuinly want to understand.

I really do see it as a game, and wont put kiss or fuck of I actually wouldnt

Oh I really don't think about it enough ... doesn't the game usually have avoid or pass in the title? Aren't you meant to answer for the post above you? Does it really matter? Aren't fake platitudes actually worse?

Some people like to play to the gallery, some people are in the gallery.

You often see lurkers wait until a hottie turns up, then there is a flurry of

Man 1 - Avoid

Man 2 - Avoid

Man 3 - Avoid

Lady - Kiss

Man 4 - Fuck

Man 5 - Fuck

Man 2 - Fuck

Man 2 - [delete]

Man 2 - Fuck the Lady I meant

Man 5 - [delete]

etc
