I'm sorry I just think it's a little naf. I hear loads of hype and Mrs Misfit is a big fan but personally I find it dry and uninspiring. I've even tried some that was apparently is top shelf stuff but although a little better still found it a bit meh.

Was it fresh or from a supermarket?

Fresh and hot tends to be better, but also a lot of different ways to make it.

We love it, but admit some are better than others.

I'd recommend making your own. I make a load and then freeze them. Not as many make it to the freezer as they should because they're so moreish!!

The fresh stuff from a place I was told was top notch. You could taste the difference but still meh. The salad that came with it was the best bit.

Make in a nice sauce, such as 'Falafel Shakshuka'... If you Google it, it should come up with a recipe from the Independent

London/Essex

Have it in a bread/wrap with Pickled pepper or gherkins and Humous and drizzle some sesame paste sauce (mixture of tahini, lemon juice, yogurt and salt)

Then you might say “so so”

Now all that sounds beautiful, my mouth is watering. The only thing is all the other ingredients are what make it and falafel is just padding basically. The falafel is the ingredients I'd miss least.

Still one of my fav

If you make your own try adding a bit of sweet chilli sauce in to your falafel mix.

I never but them from a supermarket cos they're usually dry but make your own or street food, and they're lush, don't give up until you're tried them properly!

Soak chickpeas overnight . Next day ,using a fry pan, heat a mix of cumin ,coriander ,clove, pepper seeds ( any you like) and grind.

Put chickpeas, seeds and onion, parsley, salt into a food processor and mix to a firm paste.

Grab handfuls and shape into spoon sized ovals. Throw into hot oil and cook till a brown colour.

A town and place not in the UK

I had a falafel and avocado wrap yesterday and I've been dreaming if it ever since!

Don't give up on it, you just haven't met the right one yet
