After chatting with a friend this evening, this subject popped up; I’ve always called this underwear item panties, but she prefers the term knickers! So ladies; what word do you prefer?

Manchester (she/her)

Knickers (UK) or underwear/undies (Australia), never panties (US)

For me panties is just not even a word in my vocabulary, it’s probably actually a turn off, as bizarre as that may sound.

Or I married an American?

We use pants for both of us more than the others, but do use them.

"No man should use the word ‘panties’ ever."

This.

Knickers, thong, boxers, underwear, keks....

Or if you're on the wind-up, grundy undies!

But never panties.

Depends on the style of underwear whether I call them knickers or panties. Cheap primany comfort = knickers. Nice underwear = panties.

So does that apply to panty liners: why are they not called knicker liners instead?

This has been a bit of an eye-opener for me, but I'll need to retrain my brain to say knickers in future Interesting to see Lovehoney quote 'Sexy knickers and panties' in their lingerie section though....

You need educating on gusset slugs.

Sometimes between cycles a minge pushes out a sluggy thing that's like raw egg white. It's the plug that ya don't need coz you're not cooking a spermy and making a small hooman. You know them wall-walkers that stuck to the wall and flipped down? Sticky like one of those buggers
