Apart from Chris Hoy and Penny where else will they come from today?

We have 2 world class Triathletes going this morning - brothers from yorkshire..

And a chance in the horse dressage too this morning, boosted no doubt by our 1st gold in 60years yesterday

Yorkshire have done really well regarding medals. Loving the idea of Royal Mail painting post boxes gold from winners' home towns. Makes me really proud!!

outside shot in the mens high jump tonight.. robbie grabarz... he has been jumping really well....

and the womens 100m hurdles with tiffany porter... although if sally pearson doesn't win it australia will go into mourning...

but yes.. the brownlee boys in the triathlon, sir chris and vicky in the cycling.... the dressage team...

Trotty looks set for at least silver on the track, probably a gold.

The Brownlees would be a major shock if they don't 1-2.

Although I’m loving every single minute of the Olympics and totally fixated with it,,,,

OMG…….. I never want to hear that tedious “Chariots of Fire” theme ever again once the games are over……. Sheeez it’s so fook’in monotonous on loop-repeat

ffs surely we could have commissioned something new ………or even re-used Tommy Tycho’s evocative tune from the Sydney games,,,

But apart from that, London Olympics totally rock……

The best games ever without a doubt !!!

Hoy's not retiring just yet. He's only said this is his last olympics, as a proud scot and bearing in mind the velodrome is named after him, the liklihood is he'll bow out im Glasgow 2014

I still recall the medal ceremony intro music from the Montreal games in '76 ...

The opening segment of ELP's Fanfare for the common man (okay so it may have originated from a classical tune lol)

maybe unpatriotic to say but cant say I am sad to see Phillips Idowu out of the triple jump in the qualifying stage .. his arrogance and the disrespect he has shown TeamGB management despite the hundreds of thousands of pounds spent on him

"

from The Independent last Thursday, and was also stated in The Guardian …

“UK Athletics has invested more than £1m in his development as an athlete”

so maybe “hundreds of thousands was an under estimation” of the investment in him
