Where does it state its a rule of the site to have a profile pic? People can have pics in their private gallery that they choose to share with people.

I agree really. It doesn’t have to be a face or anything in particular, but just a pic really.

Lots of women say they don’t reply to shadow avatars.

I have my message filters set to block messages from profiles with no public pics, it doesn't seem to stop them all but it gets most of them.

I work on the theory that if they aren't prepared to put the effort in to create a decent profile, then they are unlikely to put effort into anything else.

Indeed. So much so I even made a video about it. I personally don't give a fuck if they ain't got a pic in so much I'll just bypass them, but what gives me tits a rash is when the same people are bitching about no interest.

I don't know about you, but I don't become friends with a very one who asks without some communication first, so a profile pic is a good idea, surely?

Just for balance, I've got chatting to someone who is lovely, respectful, interesting and someone I'd like to meet when it's OK to do so. He has no photo on his profile, I have seen him since but initially it was the chat that piqued interest.

Hardly anyone has been getting return messages during the pandemic, especially single males who've not been here that long. Every day there's been threads bitching about it.

People ain't been chatty.

People have been particularly unchatty with folks they don't know. Just because you want to chat doesn't mean the person you're messaging does. Believe me I could have had a Ryan Reynolds double in my inbox, and I'd still have ignored him
