West Yorkshire

Just placed our bets for the national tomorrow, forgot it was even happening tbh.

What's everyone lumping on?

We fancy Burrows Saint for the win, Sub Lieutenant as an outsider to place

To be honest, we just want a good ride....

I hate the race..just not worth the death of horses to entertain. Sorry to bring a downer to the post.

Exactly this

I find it abhorrent.

Perfectly entitled to bring a downer if that's what you really felt the need to do. Thanks for your post

Whatever I pick will come last, guaranteed!

My unit backs onto the racecourse and race week is usually madness with traffic and parking. We've taken Easter week off and it's been great

Under the Duvet

If I had to choose between coming back as a racehorse or a factory farmed cow/pig/chicken I know which I'd chose

Hooray! It's the annual Festival of Finding Out Who's Okay With Animals Being Tortured for Sport!

The National is disgusting.

The racing industry is disgusting.

The fact that horse racing is the UK's second largest spectator sport is quite an insight into how deeply sick this country is.

"Nation of animal lovers" my arse.

It’s because they are big. No one cares about little animals.... they drive over roadkill without a though, eat chickens and fish, but horses, tigers etc everyone bleats like a born again vegan. If it was pocket sized horses no one would care
