I won a fancy dress competition in my local village pub years ago. I did the friar tuck haircut, shaved a big cross in my chest hair, wore a simple open necked Hessian robe, tied with a rope and carried a Gandalf style staff. I was a simple monk on a quest for the Holy Ale...... I went round taking sips out of every beer served in the pub that night, just in case it was the 'One'..... Amazingly not a single person stopped me or complained.... Got completely rat arsed without spending a penny and won the grand prize!
