Hello barowning peeps.I'm looking to pick your brains if I can.

If you were looking at renting/buying a new bar what questions would you be asking the owner and what would you be looking out for/looking to avoid?

Merci buckets in advance

Oh god a million things depending on what kind of bar it’s going to be... has it had a previous license? And curfew conditions? Access for deliveries, disabled facilities, has it passed fire regs.. check rates as they can be huge.. I’ll have a ponder. Feel free to pm with anything specific as it was my field for 20 years x

So many things to check really. Couple of things would be to have a check on local news sites for anything and ask owners of other bars/shops what they think of the venue and its clientele. Happy to help if you have any questions, and good luck

lots to check, and people already sound better qualified than me to help on most bits to be fair... if you're looking at doing any live music / events though and have any questions I can help with regs / licences etc related to that... feel free to drop a message with anything specific
