Anyone else put things away in a safe place and then forget where that safe place is?

I got a package the other day from lovehoney and for the life me I can't find it.

Yes! Currently searching for my wine bottle i was supposed to have on Sat. I was unpacking in rush and I don't like it in a sight of kids..no clue where is it.

Absolutely. Also have a crap basket at the bottom of the stairs. The idea behind it being anything in it gets taken back upstairs to be put in its place. The reality is it eventually gets taken upstairs and then emptied in the box room!

Oh i did this with my mum's mother's day lol.. It is still on the shelf since i bought it in December or whenever the shops were last open... And promptly totally forgot all about it

Yes.. once I had complained they lost my delivery. It turns out it has arrived and I hid it in a safe place. And forgot.

I got totally smashed once on a night out... Came home and decided to shower (as you do) took off a very expensive bracelet and put it on top of the bathroom cabinet... Promptly forgot all about it until i moved out several years later and found it on top exactly where I'd left it... But in the meantime I'd got a crime number, had a barny with the taxi company, made a successful insurance claim and had a new one commissioned

Currently experiencing this with my cheque book, but on a positive note, whilst I was turning everything upside down looking for it I found my paying in book with a cheque in it which I thought I had lost.

I put things where I know they are.

Then they get moved and “put in a safe place” without my knowledge.

So then when I need them they’re not where I left them.

Hence totally defeating the point of putting them in this “safe place” that was never disclosed to me!
