Oh yes, absolutely. First LP I ever owned (aged 5, Christmas 1978). Still own it after all these years, and it's played regularly.

Many years later I learned that the sound of the Martian unscrewing it's cylinder was Mrs. Wayne rubbing two pans together. 40 years later I got to see the live show.
