My kitchen stinks of garlic!

I think I may have put a few too many cloves of garlic in my dinner tonight!

Any hints on the best way to neutralise the smell?

..

Cut an onion in half and leave it with the inside showing and it will absorb the smell ... apparently

As a son to a Mother who constantly cooks Indian food... Burn the kitchen down and rebuild. It's the only way

Put a dish of water with a cut up lemon in the oven on a low heat.

Or leave out bicarbonate of soda

"Parsley will help with bad breathe "

I am not worried about that this time. I am not going to be doing any kissing until I see my partner at the Weekend, & I am sure I will not be so garlicky that I can deter vampires from a hundred metres away by then!

The trick is to create a smell more powerful than the garlic. Take a dump in each corner of the kitchen

I dunno about the smell, but if it’s too hot I take off my cloves

Of course, failing that then the yankee candles for Mother's Day and Birthdays always come in handy too

Excellent idea too. Get bread scented ones and you've got garlic bread. No need to thank me

Hard boil citrus?! Not a sentence I've read before

Stock pot, water, lemon cut in half, heat on full.

... I suppose out of context that sounds kind of kinky...

I have made more than just a garlicky error in this recipe.

I did the old trick of salting aubergine to draw out the excess liquid & prevent the bitter taste, and well.... overdosed on the salt.

I thought rubbing it off of the aubergine slices before cooking would suffice, but they must have absorbed a huge amount of salt.

So unfortunately my meal has not only made my kitchen stink, but the meal is so salty even with the aubergine picked out, that I can't really enjoy it.

Lesson learnt.... listen to my partner and follow recipes to the letter.

If I hadn't salted the aubergine and doubled the garlic it would have been a lovely meal.

Lighting a match van neutralise the smell after someone has used the toilet (the flash of sulphur, not keeping the flame going) Not sure how well it works in a larger room.

"Oh dear OP! I hope you have a handy tin of soup ready for emergency consumption?!"

I ate just enough until I couldn't stand the high salt level any further then had a cheese sandwich! There is always a back up plan. It was just disappointing as I hate wasting food, plus it took me a while to prep and cook.

Yes, I'm similar when it comes to waste. Oh well, you know for next time...
