I've been shopping recently and there's so many different types.

What are your favorites?

Do you prefer certain ones for certain things / positions / scenes?

Are you more comfortable using some than others?

Strong, padded velcro. Strong, comfortable, but quick to remove. Clips for attaching to under bed restraints or spreader bar, or together...

Oh now look what you've done!

I like rope, but it's fiddly.

Rope is the Swiss army knife of restraints, so its always good to have some. You can tie people to themselves or other things, and the limitation is usually how much you have.

If talking “typical” restraints then my favourites are our suspension cuffs as they are more comfortable for longer periods.

Combined with some carabiners and quick release bridle clips, they can be versatile.

We have flex cuffs for CNC type play.

Asylum ankle and wrist cuffs for when you want to be locked up.

Synthetic/velcro cuffs for vegan’s and introductory sessions (velcro being a lot easier to get people out of)

Bed restraint set - well its rude not to.

We then have a set of floor stocks and a cage, it thats another story.

Okay I'm probably going to sound really stupid now but just actual velcro or velcro cuffs etc?

(You can tell this is all new to me can't you )

We have a few types we like. Fuzzy cuffs, soft ropes and scarves are usually what we use. But we do have zip ties, and hemp rope for rougher moments

Sheets and pillow cases can also be used in a pinch lol

Toy shopping is a great way to pass time

Yup. We have a set of velcro cuffs that we keep under the mattress. They are our most used ones.

Rope does most jobs and fits pretty much all shapes and sizes as said about it's the Swiss army knife etc.

But it is good to mix it up and try different things, bed sheets, tights, stockings (careful with these as the knots can get super tight so need to be cut for release)

Cuff, chains, vet wrap, bandages, webbing straps, velcro as mention is really bloody strong, super quick to release but almost in escapable other wise and zip ties or hand cuffs if you want some thing fast, but I use some rope techniques for that too

Theres so much to choice from I've got lots of stuff I'd buy to try if pennies were available

Did I mention belts and dressing gown cords?

It's alright! Better to ask! No, actual cuffs, but made with velcro fastenings. Just watch them around lace and hosiery!

Haha we've used dressing gown cords before too! Especially in hotels..

But FYI... those hotel chairs aren't that strong

the abyss

I have soft lined 'buckle up' cuffs which have D-links and clips so can be attached to each other or secured with rope etc. I find them comfortable for longer periods and they don't leave tell tale marks for work the next day even after sleeping with them on

I love restraints!

My house has wall mounted O rings at strategic points, a made-to-order metal bed head with anchor points and there's a hand welded cage (not a pet shop crate) at the foot of the bed and another in the play room*.

Shibari rope, custom-made aircraft grade aluminium adjustable spreader bars, a Stockcade, more leather collars, cuffs and other assorted goodness than you can shake a fist at and a reproduction medieval gibbet in the downstairs hallway (as featured on a C4 programme on swingers clubs a few years ago).

* Trust me on this; if you're locked in either of the cages (or the gibbet) you will not get out unless someone unlocks the antique Victorian padlocks or, for safety reasons, you open the envelope containing the key that is within arms reach of the cage (or attached with paracord).

One of my delicious friends has already written about her encounter with the bedroom cage in the 'stories and fantasies' section and the cages / rope work / wall fittings etc. are featured in a number of profiles on here.
