So how long did it take you to read those 4 words? How long would it take to type them? Not long in either case.

Whenever I check messages I've sent out, I wonder why the person/s have taken the time to read the message, AND more often than not looked at my profile, can't be arsed to send even the short negative reply. Doesn't take long to do either so it shouldn't take long to say 'thanks but no thanks' if they're not interested.

When I see 'been read' and nothing happens I wonder if that person/s will be contacting me. Sometimes I'll send them a message once I see 'been read' just to find out if they're interested or not. Sometimes I get a polite reply to say no and other times just 'been read' again and nothing more. Obviously I don't bother after that, I can take a hint.

A little courtesy goes a long way.

When you have typed it out 20, 30, 40+ times every day for the next few years, then I will listen to your opinion on what I should and shouldn't do with my time.

If only it was actually as easy as that! You either get a reply full of abuse or a load of questions as why you don't think they are your type

You're right on the abuse bit! One female replied and if I was a faint heart I'd be on the far side of the moon now hiding from her!!

Me : then why mail me?

Guy : was doing you a favour, you're not normal, never any normal women on this site.

Hypothetical of course but an example of a typical conversation.

Or just busy! Been said many a time before but us guys get way less messages than anyone else!

So the appropriate words are 'patience' - if they're just busy they may reply eventually, but not if they feel pressured by repeat messages - and of course 'choice'! Some state in their profiles a no reply means no - and even if they don't - accept it and move on! Just because we feel we'd be great for someone to meet doesn't mean they feel the same. We all have preferences and sadly those include how to deal with incoming messages!

In an ideal world? We'd all have endless free time and no other constraints and responsibilities taking up our time. But life's not ideal!

Concentrate on those profiles whose criteria you meet and if you get no reply - don't dwell - move on and try elsewhere!

So you message people to see why they haven;t replied and only then take the hint? To be honest the hint is when they haven;t replied to the first message...

i will always reply to all messages i get.. well when i say all i mean the few messages i get..

some of you ladies have got to climb out of your own arseholes and be a little more considerate to us poor single males..

I do try and reply to most messages... Some thank me other get rude!

However the copy and paste of fancy a shag get deleted..
