Whilst searching through profiles I've found myself flicking past a few purely because I don't "fancy" them because of their name. This is normally because their name gives me an image of what they look like, are in to order what they really are. Anyone else do this or have been surprised when they find what the person / persons is really like?

I look at things differently and not all people have usernames that mean something, lots of people choose them for just a laugh

Well then try and break the cycle of them. For example by engaging with someone in a conversation you would normally dismiss.

To be honest , I was sat doing bugger all watching agents of shield, so just went for that.

My previous time here, I was the pub landlord, it's just a name.

Having said that, some profile names do make me skip past, things like cumdump or slag4u, no thanks

I’ve never had that level of assumption with my name.

If someone’s name is ‘cockbreaker346’ I might assume certain things or if their name is crude, it’s fairly clear that we wouldn’t get on. As for just general names, I try not to make too many assumptions unless it’s very clear such as ‘BBC lover’ or ‘Dommeforsub’

But there are times when a good name helps. Compersion is a great example of a name that tells a story. Or _ede as she stated above

If I get a message from a male that has a very crude sexual profile name then I block and delete them without looking or reading further.

If they don't understand that their name will be a turn off for many women then they don't have a high enough intelligence level to interest me.
